Black Friday

I wish they wouldn’t call it that. The day after Thanksgiving. Shopping mania. The day for retailers to break out of the red ink on their books. It sounds so ominous. Foreboding. A somber day following a day of celebration and thanksgiving. The juxtaposition is almost surreal. Fitting for the turkey’s family perhaps. A moody Tom dragging his tail in the dirt. Moping through the door everyday after work . Grumpy and half pissed that things didn’t go well at the office. A half hearted "gobble" before falling into his chair.

So maybe Thursday the family was kinda glad to get a break. He always complained about the corn casserole anyway. What a holiday bummer he could be. Then black Friday. The day of reckoning. Cold reality check. Head on, no turning back.

Tom’s gone. Ok.

Celebration Saturday, come on!

Ok guys. Suck it up and don’t be a turkey this holiday season or you may not be missed.
