God in the box

Do you need to have a container
for everything
well you should know
serving well these many years
wife knows all the quirks
probably catalogued
indexed alphabetically
perhaps numerically
lesser to greater
or visa versa
from weird to mildly annoying
It’s true
little boxes
bowls and cups
big boxes
tubs and cans
And it occurs to me
one very special box
velvet red and heart shaped
embossed white cross
always near

Psalm 4:6 (New International Version)

6 Many are asking, "Who can show us any good?"
Let the light of your face shine upon us, O LORD.

Lord forgive me for trying to keep you in a box,
