Fading

now just a memory

synchronized firing of neurons and synapses   DSC_0098(2)

projecting an image upon the curtain

of my mind

by any other name

they are the same

but seasons come and go

and with them

so do i searching for

the comforts of  love

in old shoes

worn denim

and known things

with their familiar touch

and smell of home

Searching high and low no matter where i go it always seems the same: shades of grey. Or, was that gray?

Every day we change a new moment in time. A new beginning… a fresh start. As we go thru life and think of the times that used to be, and all the good times yet to come. Just as we can be sure that the seasons will change, we can be sure to have more memories.

  4. Here I Am says:

The seasons continue on their path, it is our memories of the seasons that change..

Thank you for visiting the Painting Studio and for your comments. There is perhaps nothing as comfortable as worn denim, cotton soft rain soaked sun dried faded sky blue golden orange threads at the edges worn, torn and lived inboots that have walked all the seasons and held the land underfoot as the landsheld the walker beholding the lands. It is a blessing to behold the last rose and she is hereTo dry and be placed in a quiet space for my eyes and poetry to grace in the winter as her roots dig in deep sleep and rest for the rage of spring.Thank you again and as ever be well,Stephen Craig Rowe

Lovely words and lovely rose. To quote Johnny Cah, The seasons come, the seasons go, we get a little sunshine, rain or snow, just the way that it was planned to be." I love that song.

Nothing like a good pair of well broke in boots and jeans. I don\’t think I even own a suit anymore and my "dress shoes" are Reeboks!
