ties that bind us

the colorful kite floated high on the march winds DSC03272

pulling taunt the string that balanced it

flying it would seem

freely skipping along the unseen thermals

joyously bouncing up and down

between the heavens and the earth

never considering the hand that holds it

until it is released

Lovely words. Sometimes we just hold on to things too long and then it becomes impossible to let go.

Lovely poem, it really makes one think about both sides… what we\’re holding on to as well as what or who is holding on to us. Take care, Lenore.

Many people out there love kites, kite flying, and anything associated with it… it is a fun thing to do on a windy (not too windy) afternoon. I think as kids, we have all done it at one time or another perhaps. Fantastic entry!

  8. Here I Am says:

We should all go fly a kite once in awhile. I think it is very calming thing to do. Your words dance as a kite often dances. Hugs Carrie
