Bug out kits flew off the store shelves by noon
yesterday! No bread, no milk, no whiskey.
Maybe 1 inch accumulation. God help us.

Rambling Onwrote: I absolutely LOVED this. You\’re right. The panic is widespread over our Southland. I got the biggest kick out of this. Believe it or not, I took a picture of a moth that was on my storm door 2 weeks ago. Poor fella must have been addled.
That is one ugly creature. Come visit the midwest if you want to see the snow. We are used to it but there is always a rush on the grocery store when we have a storm warning.
Oh no! Not an inch of snow. Smile! When stationed at Ft Gordon near Augusta Ga many years ago there was a light snow that nearly closed the base and threw the town into panic. It was less than an inch and as a child of the upper midwest, I had to laugh. I usually keep my provisions stocked enough for me to survive for a month or two fending for myself. Flour, canned goods, freezer full of meats and veggies, dried milk and of course a well stocked personal bar. Also other than an occasional lost spider or lady bug my home is bug free. Just remember, it will be nice again in May. Smile!As ever be well
Great photo!We get these every once in a while–or something similar–only all black. Horned beetles, I think they\’re called. Pretty good sized, and I wouldn\’t want one in the house!
It seems so funny to me that this could happen but I too know some people sure arent used to snow and cold. I think your snow is wet and very heavy . Ours here in the North isnt and is not hard to get around in most times.
I LOVE watching outside from the window when the snow is falling and at the same time have some hot tea!! I like making snowman! Shhhh!!… don\’t tell anybody I told you that!! I feel I am still a kid! What can I say? I live in southern Manitoba Canada, we have snow almost 4-5 months out of the year. Bwahahaha!
Jay, we only moved here 5 years ago. I know we\’re obliged to run to the store for bread and milk but then what? Got any good recipes for milk sammiches?
j2Rocket, Yep. Pour one quarter cup milk into zip lock sammich bag. Place out doors on N. side of house for 6 – 8 hours. This step could probably be amended north of latitude 33.75 with some locations being able to wave sammich bag out back door for 45 seconds. Anyway, after freezing remove milkcicle from ziplock. Discard zip lock or save for future uses depending on personal level of enviromental paranoia. Place milkcicle between bread slices and enjoy. Chase with Johnny Walker for added nutritional and medicinal benefit.
